Throughout the year, the LAMQG offers a rich variety of events designed to inspire, educate, and connect its members. From monthly meetings and hands-on workshops to guest speakers, quilt challenges, and special interest groups, these events provide opportunities for quilters of all skill levels to learn new techniques, share ideas, and build lasting friendships. Together, they create a vibrant, welcoming community centered on creativity and a shared love of quilting.

June 01, 2026 – August 31, 2026 Join this collaborative, community art project where individuals contribute handmade quilt squares to express their hopes and dreams for democracy. Our challenge will include an in-person sewing day and at the end of the challenge, prizes will be awarded and we will deliver the squares to the project organizers. | QuiltCon 2027 Community Outreach Challenge Quilt June 01, 2026 – October 31, 2026 Join our yearly submission to QuiltCon. You can help with piecing, quilting, or binding. The challenge will include an in-person sew day and all fabric will be supplied by the guild. The quilt will be on sale at QuiltCon 2027 and proceeds will benefit MQG charities. |
Mini Quilt Show at Leanna Lin's Wonderland June 06, 2026 – July 11, 2026 Create a mini quilt that will be shown and sold in a gallery setting. All proceeds benefit the guild. Challenge includes gallery opening celebration at Leanna Lin's Wonderland in Eagle Rock. | Design Your Own Fabric Challenge September 01, 2026 - December 31, 2026 Join us as we learn the basics of pattern design and various methods of executing custom material fabrication. Included in the challenge is a workshop and prizes for participation. |
