Board Positions

Please consider joining the LAMQG Board! As the founding Guild of the MQG, it is critical that our Guild continue to grow and evolve over time. In order for us to do that, we need a continual ebb & flow of ideas and personalities taking on Guild leadership and helping to shape and refine our vision and priorities. Board elections happen mid-year with the newly elected board shadowing the current board through October, when the new board assumes office.

Volunteering can improve your health and wellbeing and even further your career! Joining the Board can help you make new friends, give you a chance to be more active in the community and to share on your quilting skills and with others. All LAMQG Board positions are volunteer positions. Board member time commitment is approximately 10 hours per month (depending on Guild events).

Perks include:

  • Comped dues for each year served
  • Advance notice & sign up opportunities for workshops
  • Advance notice & sign up opportunities for retreat
  • Networking with national & international quilting superstars
