About Us

The Los Angeles Modern Quilt Guild is the founding guild of The Modern Quilt Guild, established in October 2009.

The mission of the Guild is to provide an atmosphere of fellowship for persons interested in the art and craft of quilt making and related arts by the sharing of skills and knowledge in the field of quilt making.

Throughout the year, the LAMQG offers a rich variety of events designed to inspire, educate, and connect its members. From monthly meetings and hands-on workshops to guest speakers, quilt challenges, and special interest groups, these events provide opportunities for quilters of all skill levels to learn new techniques, share ideas, and build lasting friendships.

In addition, The LAMQG is committed to using the art of quilting to make a meaningful difference in the community. Through its charitable outreach, the guild creates and donates handcrafted quilts to a wide range of organizations that support individuals and families in need.

Founded to bring together a diverse group of makers in the Los Angeles area, the guild has grown into a dynamic organization rooted in community and creativity. What began as a small gathering of like-minded quilters has evolved into a thriving network that celebrates innovation while honoring the traditions of the craft.
