Payment Policy

Pricing

Workshop fees are based on the cost of instructors, including costs LAMQG incurs while hosting out-of- town instructors as well as space required for classes.

Retreat fees are based on the cost of sewing space, room & board and location specific amenities at our retreat location as well as participant prizes and swag. LAMQG has historically always broken even on retreats with no overages.

A sliding pay scale will be available for select LAMQG workshops and events. This will help further our mission to provide our programs to as many people as possible, while ensuring fair compensation for speakers and teachers. Whenever possible, we will offer the following payment options:

• Equity Price: If paying the Standard Price presents a financial burden, please choose this price.

• Standard Price: Base price for event/workshop.

• Pay It Forward Price: Consider paying this amount if you are able to contribute to others’ ability to attend an event/workshop.

Workshops

Workshops offer members a wonderful opportunity to learn new techniques and improve their quilting skills with some of the top quilters in the world. Space is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. 

PAYMENT

Payment for a workshop is due at registration. Currently, sign up is via Google form, payment is via Venmo or Zelle. Sign up is not complete until both steps are completed. If the workshop participant limit is met, a waitlist will be implemented. 

CANCELLATION & REFUNDS

Full refunds will be provided for all workshops cancelled by LAMQG.

If a cancellation is sought 14 or more days in advance, a full refund will be provided.

If a cancellation is sought less than 14 days before the class, a refund will not be provided. Exceptions may be made in case of emergency circumstances and will be determined by the LAMQG Executive Board.

No refunds or credits will be given for no-shows.

Retreats

Retreats offer members semi-annual opportunities to socialize with other members, collaborate on special projects, work on ongoing projects, play games and learn new techniques together in a special location. Space is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. 

PAYMENT

Payment for a retreat is split into 2 payments- deposit at sign up & remainder due closer to the event date. Currently, sign up is via Google form, payment is via Venmo or Zelle. Registration is not complete until both sign up & deposit steps are completed. If the retreat participant limit is met, a waitlist and/or lottery will be implemented. Final payment is due 2 weeks before the retreat date.

CANCELLATION & REFUNDS

Full refunds will be provided for retreats cancelled by LAMQG.

If cancellation is sought, prior to 2 weeks from the event, and LAMQG is able to fill that spot, the member will be refunded their full amount. 

If cancellation is sought, prior to 2 weeks from the event, and LAMQG is NOT able to fill that spot, the member will be refunded minus the deposit. 

If cancellation is sought, WITHIN 2 weeks from the event, and LAMQG is NOT able to fill that spot, no refunds will be given.

If cancellation is sought, WITHIN 2 weeks from the event, and LAMQG is able to fill that spot, the member canceling forfeits their deposit and is refunded the remainder.

Exceptions may be made in case of emergency circumstances and will be determined by the LAMQG Executive Board.
