Audrey Esarey is coming to the LAMQG for a lecture and weekend workshop in August!
Audrey will give her lecture “Finding My Voice in Modern Quilting” at our regular guild meeting on Monday, August 8, 2022 @ 7:30pm via zoom.
The following Saturday, August 13, Audrey will lead a workshop (via zoom) on her quilt pattern, Mobius Radial. Mobius Radial is a wall hanging made using paper piecing, curved piecing, and partial seam techniques. This workshop covers the basic concepts of paper piecing on an arc, curved piecing, and precision piecing. We will also discuss quilting ideas. Students will learn the concepts of paper piecing on a curve. There will be a focus on curved piecing and partial seam construction. The students will complete a portion of the quilt during class. The Mobius Radial Quilt finishes at 30 x 30 inches. Pattern sold separately. Skill level: Intermediate. Workshop hours: 10am-3pm with a break for lunch.
